Denise Van Outen
Actress, singer and television presenter Denise Van Outen has been on stage for most of her life. Having attended the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School at a young age she played Eponine in ‘Les Miserables’ and this launched her hugely successful performing career.
Denise began her television career in 1995 but it was when joining ‘The Big Breakfast’ on Channel 4 in 1997 that she was propelled to household name status. From then on a series of shows and appearances followed as well as several high profile advertising campaigns cementing Denise’s position as a much loved tv and media personality.
Having always relied on contact lenses or glasses during her career, eye treatment was something that Denise had considered but never taken the plunge until discovering Focus. She discussed how she could barely read her tv prompts on occasion and found contact lenses irritating.
Having her eyes corrected at Focus has been liberating for Denise – in 2009 she climbed Mt Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief with Cheryl Cole, Kimberly Walsh, Fearne Cotton, Ben Shephard, Gary Barlow and Ronan Keating and was finally able to say goodbye to glasses and contact lenses forever.
