Before we discuss the benefits of our clinic, the technology and staff and aftercare we thought we'd take a moment to let you know about our 'Eye for an Eye' charity campaign.

Eye For An Eye - restoring sight to people in the developing world
Your laser eye treatment will pay for surgery to restore sight to someone blinded by cataracts in the developing world. You get to see without glasses. They get to see. Simple.

You could help more people like Ambia who lost her job when she could no longer see. Ambia’s daughter had to leave school to care for her and they fell deeper into poverty. Following cataract surgery, Ambia is supporting her family once again and her daughter has returned to education which will greatly enhance her opportunities in life.
There is nothing more for you to do. When you choose FOCUS, we will donate enough money to a leading charity to pay for surgery and aftercare for a man, woman or child living in one of the most impoverished parts of our world. Most have no other chance of seeing again.
We call this programme ‘Eye For An Eye’ and it was created by FOCUS Laser Vision.
Our surgeons already give their time and skill freely, flying to developing countries to help charities conduct cataract operations. They do this because it is the right thing to do.
Right now, more than 20 million people worldwide are fully blind from cataracts. Another 150 million are partially sighted.
You can help to change that. Every time someone has laser eye treatment with us, we provide money to IMPACT Foundation to conduct a cataract operation. IMPACT is a leading charity helping to prevent and treat blindness and needless disability around the world - www.impact.org.uk
Your treatment will give the gift of sight to another person living in extreme poverty. This not only helps them to see but also provides a ‘hand up’, restoring independence and enabling them to return to work or learn in school.
Change your world...and change theirs too.

Why choose FOCUS Laser Vision?
Thousands of patients choose FOCUS Laser Vision each year for two key reasons:
- Our doctors are amongst the most experienced refractive surgeons in the country. Chief Surgeon Mr. David Allamby, as well as being a specialist in laser eye treatment, is also one of the most experienced surgeons for correcting reading vision problems in Europe
- The FOCUS Laser Vision facilities house the most comprehensive and advanced combination of diagnostic and treatment technology available anywhere in the world
Advanced Technology
FOCUS Laser Vision invests in the very latest laser treatment and pre-op testing equipment available on the market for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and reading vision correction. We believe that to perform laser vision correction to its highest level in the United Kingdom, FOCUS Laser Vision must invest in the most advanced laser technology.
Now, with access to the most sophisticated equipment, we can select the procedure that has been proven to provide the best outcome for each patient’s specific vision correction needs. As well as being one of the most advanced clinics in the UK, FOCUS is Europe’s number one centre for reading vision correction.
FOCUS Laser Vision is also very involved with non-laser vision correction procedures, such as conductive keratoplasty (CK). FOCUS Laser Vision was the first clinic in the UK to perform reading vision correction using CK radio wave treatment and we have performed more CK procedures than any clinic in the world. CK uses the controlled release of radio frequency energy to reshape the cornea and treat farsightedness and/or presbyopia.
Patients of Focus London Harley Street laser eye surgeons centre can rest assured that our surgeons have knowledge of all the technology that is available and of everything that is currently being tested. This allows us to recommend the best treatment options for each patient, or to recommend that waiting for a new technology or a new procedure may be a better option for a specific condition.
Experienced Surgeons
Each of our surgeons has acquired tremendous experience by performing more than 5,000 refractive procedures (per surgeon, not total).
