Carol Vorderman has laser eye surgery

We all know Carol Vorderman looks fantastic but recently she found that the effects of Presbyopia were becoming an issue for her. If you need glasses to read menus in a restaurant or struggle to view text messages on your mobile phone then you may also be experiencing this too.

Presbyopia is a totally natural and inevitable part of us getting older. The eye cannot work as well past our mid 40s and that’s why so many of us end up having to rely on ‘readers’ or reading glasses just for the most basic of near tasks.

Carol Vorderman had laser eye surgery recently to correct her vision and enable her to read close up without the aid of reading glasses. She had a treatment known as ‘blended vision’ – something FOCUS introduced into the UK and pioneered in this country since 2003.

Whilst blended vision offers great results it has now been superseded by our new revolutionary KAMRA laser eye surgery treatment. One of the major issues with blended vision is that over time the eye and vision may still degrade. KAMRA laser eye surgery eliminates this and studies have shown that over a period of at least 5 years (to date, but likely much longer, vision remains fully stable, where blended vision gradually starts to fall away and will need re-operating in 5-10 years time.

If you would like to know more about how our KAMRA laser eye surgery then please do come to our open day this Saturday or call us on 0207 307 8250 for more information.
