CELEBRITY CK BEAUTY TIPS |
|
Stop hiding behind those reading glasses! Here’s an eye opener with some celebrity make-up tips to brighten your eyes after CK, by Maggie Hunt.
Applying make-up when you’re older is a real problem. Have you not seen women’s lips that have been over painted and eye make-up that just looks messy?
The main reason for this is that they can’t see well enough to put on their make-up, and it’s certainly a nuisance to keep putting on your reading glasses to check each stage of the make-up application process.
Here are some beauty tips on how to emphasise and brighten your eyes once you’ve stopped hiding behind those reading glasses.
• Pluck your eye brows, keeping a one inch gap clear of hair between the 2 eyebrows. Start off thicker, lift up into an arch and then taper off. • Make your eyes look sexy by experimenting with false eye lashes. These are fantastic for the evenings and will really make your eyes stand out, or, get an over the counter eye lash kit to dye your lashes, making your eyes look wider and awake. • Curl your eyelashes, go as close to the roots as possible without pinching the skin • Thicken and lengthen your lashes with mascara by applying to both sides of the upper lashes. Before they have time to dry, brush through and repeat once or twice for perfectly unclogged lashes. • Use eyebrow powder to frame your eyebrows. Use a shade close to your natural eyebrow colour. Paint on with a feathery type movement to recreate the look of hair. Try an angled firm brush or an eye liner brush to achieve an arch, to fill in gaps and elongate the end. • Highlight your brow bone with eye shadow, making your eyes stand out. • Apply a coloured shimmer to the eye lid below the socket line, giving warmth and appeal to your eyes. • Use a light diffusing concealer under your eyes to lighten dark shadows without emphasising wrinkles. • Define your eye with a medium or dark eye shadow. Create contouring with backwards and forwards movements in the eye socket and give soft emphasis to your eyes by blending upwards and outwards. • Accentuate the top and bottom of your eyes with an eye pencil. Start with a very thin line at the inner corner, getting thicker at the centre of the eye and lifting up towards the outer corner. A soft line can be applied along the bottom lash line, but go carefully so that it doesn’t look hard.
