How soon can I go back to work after laser eye surgery?

How soon can I go back to work after laser eye surgery? Going back to work after laser eye surgery. Most people can go back to work the next day after LASIK treatment as by then your eyes will be fully comfortable and clear. You will have a post-op check the morning after your procedure, after which it is fine to resume your job. Your eyes will be clear and comfortable within a few hours of the surgery, and with very good vision.

For PRK (LASEK), you will need several days away from work, as healing from a surface laser procedure takes 4-7 days. You will return to the clinic 4 days after treatment. You will have regular drops for 1 week after both PRK and LASIK. Implant lens procedures (such as RLE, cataract surgery, and ICL implants) usually need 1-3 days for the vision to settle. Most patients are able to drive and return to work after 48 hours.
