James Cosmo is a Scottish born actor well-known for his role in Braveheart, Troy and more recently in the hit TV series Game of Thrones.
As an actor, very often, he found himself not being able to wear his spectacles on set for period constraints. It came the time to ‘make his life less complicated’.
James’ Blended Vision Procedure
The whole procedure went remarkably smoothly. Throughout the whole process, as many measurements as possible had been taken by one of our optometrist to ensure that the treatment was suitable for James. Everything was explained every step of the way. He even attended a short presentation about laser eye surgery the week of before he had it done.
The next day after his surgery, James had better than 20/20 vision on one eye and 20/20 vision on the other. He could read fine print. Huge freedom.
Do you find it hard to read menus in restaurants without putting on your reading glasses? Or how about the hassle of not being able to read your text messages quickly when you’re out and about?
Treatment is now available for those who need glasses for reading. If you have always had good vision and now find yourself over 40 and needing reading glasses for close distances, or if you have been wearing glasses for distance vision, and now find you are losing your close up vision; you may be developing presbyopia. This is simply an unavoidable condition where the eye’s ability to focus on near objects diminishes as we get a little older!
