Freedom to Choose
Unlike several clinics, Focus and its surgeons have chosen to not be paid consultants to laser system manufacturers. As such we are free to choose the laser combination that we consider will give the best results, rather than use the manufacturers’ own laser systems. As such, we chose different companies to supply the excimer and femtosecond lasers used in the Z-LASIK procedure.
The combination of the Swiss Ziemer LDV and the German WaveLight Allegretto Eye-Q – together with a refined LASIK surgical technique pioneered at Focus – means we have exceeded our expectation for visual outcomes for our patients, where our goal is a 100% 20/20 success rate for correcting short-sight, which is the most common visual problem by far in the 20-45 age group.Find out more
